Entrepreneurship Curriculum
Each year, the Wolves class creates and manages a fundraising café to support their annual weeklong field trip to an environmental learning center. The goal of the café is to independently raise the necessary funds to cover the cost of attendance and travel. Additionally, the unit includes embedded lessons in mathematics, literacy, teamwork, and business principles.
UNDERSTANDING GOALS
Students will: · understand the concept of supply and demand. · understand the need to develop a business plan, including product choices, pricing, budgeting, marketing, sales, and service plans. · develop professional oral and written communication skills with both customers and vendors. · understand the importance of customer service and develop customer service skills. · recognize the critical element of effective teamwork in creating a successful business endeavor. |

1. What elements are required to start a business? 2. What does the management structure of a business look like? What jobs need to be done to run a successful business? 3. How do we find out what needs are present in the community that could be met by our business? 4. How does one market a business to reach their potential customers? 5.
